This guide documents Valheim dedicated server hosting on GameHostCloud. After deployment you set the server name, the world name and a password of at least five characters that does not appear inside the server name, which is a hard requirement of the game and the most common reason a Valheim server refuses to start. Crossplay can be enabled so console and Game Pass players join through an in-game join code, while Steam-only servers can be added directly by address. Existing worlds are moved by stopping the server and uploading the matching db and fwl files into the local worlds directory, keeping the exact file names, then setting the world name to match. Mods are installed through BepInEx, with plugin files placed in the BepInEx plugins directory, and almost all Valheim mods must also be installed by every player. Valheim uses UDP ports 2456 to 2458 and caps dedicated servers at ten players. Performance guidance covers single-thread CPU dependence, memory sizing for long-running worlds, the cost of terrain modification and scheduled restarts. Troubleshooting covers browser visibility, startup failures, empty worlds caused by mismatched world names and desyncs from client mod mismatches.
